Chanculo Agricultural Association, located in Moamba district, 64 km northwest of Maputo, is a fertile farming community near the Incomati River. Due to frequent crop destruction by elephants, we installed a solar-powered electric fence protecting 50 hectares and 52 families—our second-largest protected fence to date. The rich soil supports banana plantations, maize, cassava, and pumpkins, creating a vibrant green landscape, especially at the start of the year. With access to perennial water sources, the land remains productive year-round.
